simple and nice

For unknown reason, mplayer crashed with a message:-

mplayer: ad_liba52.c:315: decode_audio: Assertion `len <= maxlen' failed

mplayer -nosound work’s fine but no one would watch a movie without any sound. Checking on google, I’d only got two results and the solution suggested at this blog seem’s to work.

mplayer -channels 1 file.ogm

Since google would only return two results, the primary intention of this post is just to make it redundant ;)

Btw, the movie I’m trying to watch is a korean 2004 A Family. Quite a nice movie but I’m not in the mood of writing movie review. Here is some screens and short review of the movie. This is my first korean movie after a very long break.

yeah ... just watching starwars last night. nothing to wrap up. all that I can said, the movie is great ... excellent. it's does answers everything except for the last closing when padme is died ? I think everyone who watch Return Of The Jedi would remember these few lines from the movie ...

so ... padme is not dead yet ... right ? and if we really care about the continuity of the story, Revenge Of The Sith already failed, since all the tensions that brought anakin to the dark side is the fear of losing padme, when giving birth to their baby (babies ?). Lucas tried hard to relate Sith with the original trilogy, with the opening space battle mimicking Battle of Yavin, the 'kill him' scene of Anakin and Count Dooku, which reflected to the fight of Luke with Darth Vader on Endor but with this little flaws, the story doesn't seem to be fun anymore.

Personally, I think Return Of The Jedi still the best starwars movie. Look's like space dogfight and star ships has been ignored in the recent episodes.

Very interesting movie about a weatherman who is slowly regaining bits and pieces of his memory after an accident, and the pieces are leading him on a quest to find a college sweetheart known only by him as \"Rainbow.\" But he just cannot remember who Rainbow is. He was always secretive in school, so none of his college friends know the lady\'s identity. This is a mystery romance, well-acted and well-made. The \"rainbow\" mystery in a way reminds of the \"rosebud\" mystery in the movie \"Citizen Kane.\" (This review is in regard to the dvd version with English subtitles.) The Korean film industry has another winner in \"Over The Rainbow.\"

Being a fan of the Japanese and the Korean series I\'m always feels such a miss to the good production available here on the screen (read: TV). The last best korean series I thinks is the Wuri\'s Family which was aired on TV2 sometimes ago. When watching foreign\'s productions, I\'d like to watch them in their natives language and that\'s why most of the series aired by tv station not really caught my attention. TV2 is doing a good job by screening the series in the native language (Koreans) and not dubbed them to Mandarin but they\'d have stop the series now. Just to utilizes my broadband connection which most of the time right now idle (after the break of reliant), I\'d try to search for the korean movie aka kmovie. The reason I\'m looking for movies instead of series is the time that I\'d have to spent to download all the stuff. Series (korean series) typically consists of up to 30 episodes and just imagine how long it would take if I want to finish all of it. Movies, especially that was encoded using the divx codec would just consumes 1GB+. When downloading (using a bittorrent) I\'ll just scan for the ones that has top seeder/leecher which would give a significant increase to the download speed and I pick up this one - My Sassy Girl.

It was a 2001\'s production, released just after the \'Friends\' and becomes the blockbuster movies (in South Korean of course). I\'m not known any of the cast but the girl is pretty :-) . On the first spot I think that was kim hyo jin, the pretty girl from the Wuri\'s Family but I was wrong. It\'s a typical asian\'s (read: korean) romantic comedy and if you are the one who enjoy watching GTO, Hero or Wuri\'s Family (how many times have I mentioned this drama ?)then this movie would just fit. It\'s about the naive (clueless) guy who met this crazy (but pretty) girl on a train. The girl is drunk and just because she called him \'honey\' before she falled down, peoples asking the guy to watch over her and the story begins with all the bad things happened to him. The plot is fast and the comedy just enough to make you enjoyed the story. As I\'m writing this entry, I\'m still downloading the second half of this movie. I\'m not aware if this movie is screened here or available on DVD/VCD but I thinks this one would be better compared to our box office teen love story \"Ada Apa dengan bla ..bla ... Tuning in into TV2 at 4.00PM yesterday bringing me to the currently running show at that time, a chinese drama titled (doesn\'t know it yet..). Two minutes after watching the show, I sensed something like a deja-vu. Yes ...it is a totally 100% copy-cat (or maybe an adaptation ..? ) of my favourite japanese drama Love Generation, starring Takuya Kimura and .Matsu Takako. I think it\'s a local production, and this is totally ashamed for those involved. Don\'t they have any fresh and original idea instead of just copying other people story and make it \'local\' ? This is not the first time I found that our local entertainment industry just copying ( ..stealing ? ) foreign content and republish it as a local content. I wait until the end of the show and now I knew that the title of the drama is \'Love Triangle\'. So ..fo those watching this drama, this is not the real one. Pastikan ORI ........
